First, pad printing process introduction

Pad printing is an indirect concave rubber head printing technology, through the production of a specific steel plate pattern, the use of rubber head will be transferred to the etching pattern content of the product on the printing technology, has become a variety of surface printing and decoration of objects a main method.


How it works: The process is simple: the design is etched onto a printing plate, the etching plate is coated with ink and most of the ink is transferred to the printed object through a silicone head.


Main production problems and solutions:

1.pad printing font edge: after pad printing, the edge of the font appears small feathery edge, font enlargement; Ink is too thin, not fast enough to dry; Humidity is too high;

Solutions:

A. Reduce the amount of ink thinner; The ink to dry fast;

B.  Add hot air blowing device for plastic head;

C. C. Reduce workshop humidity, reduce the depth of steel plate etching;

2.pad printing pattern deformation: pad printing after the product surface graphics distortion, deformation, mostly appear in the pad printing area edge; The choice of pad printing rubber head shape is not ideal; Ink is too thin; Plastic head deformation after long-term use; Fixture movement;

Solution:

A. Choose suitable taper, hard pad printing rubber head;

B. B. Replace pad printing rubber head;

C. C. Adjust the position of fixture;

The second, the application of heat transfer printing on glass bottles


Heat transfer film is a technology that prints patterns and glue on a heat-resistant film and adheres patterns (ink layers) and glue layers to glass bottles through heat and pressure. This process is mostly used in plastic and paper, less used in glass bottles.

Process flow: 1. Printed film; 2. Heat transfer printing; 3. Baking.

Heat transfer film is generally divided into five layers, the surface OF the PET film layer as a carrier, the separation layer is heated for shedding. The protective layer protects the ink layer, ink layer for pattern printing, adhesive layer for adhesion layer.


Because the film printing stage can be a multi-color pattern into a picture, in the glass bottle transfer operation, the existing pattern can be transferred to the glass bottle at a time. Compared with screen printing multi-color cumbersome set, can greatly shorten the work of printing case, reduce the material loss caused by printing errors. At present, the human cost is constantly rising, and the customer's high quality requirements for accurate positioning, so in the multi-color draft, the advantage of heat transfer is very obvious.


In addition, in the film printing stage, the conventional use of CMYK printing, but also according to customer requirements for spot color printing. Heat transfer printing effect, more realistic, high degree of color reduction, and can achieve gradual change. Thermal transfer printing due to the relationship between the image heat and baking, the finished image color will be more solid than water transfer printing, will not be easy to fade, with corrosion resistance, aging resistance, wear resistance, high temperature and other good performance.


In glass bottle processing, compared with water transfer printing and silk screen printing, thermal transfer printing has obvious advantages.


In general, compared with the traditional water transfer printing and silk screen printing, heat transfer printing advantages are: less labor consumption, high degree of automation, fast, accurate color, high yield, less environmental pollution. But the shortage of heat transfer printing is that the regular degree of the substrate requirements are higher, need to operate in a more regular position. Square and cylindrical bottle processing is very advantageous. Special-shaped bottles need to be analyzed according to the entity in order to confirm the machinable position. In the development of heat transfer printing, in addition to ordinary toner ink, also developed more new, pearlite ink film and mirror ink heat transfer film, with bronzing heat transfer film. Looking to the future, heat transfer printing on glass bottles will be more widely used.
